Adding charge methods

When you register for your Amazon Payments merchant account, you need to provide a credit or debit card, or a bank account that Amazon Pay validates, and also uses to apply charges if your merchant account balance becomes negative.

Note: Amazon Pay doesn’t accept prepaid cards. You can add a bank account, a credit card or a debit card as charge method if your business is established within the EU. If your business is established in the UK, you can use credit and debit cards as charge methods.

If you want to add the charge method information, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
  2. Click the Settings icon, and then click Account info.
  3. Click Charge method, and then click Add charge method.
  4. Choose the marketplace for which you would like to add a charge method.
  5. Enter the details of the charge method that you want to add.
  6. Click Set charge method.

If you want to edit the charge method information, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
  2. Click the Settings icon, and then click Account info.
  3. Click Charge method, and then click Manage charge methods.
  4. Open the corresponding tab for the charge method that you want to edit.
  5. Add your charge method details, and then click Submit.

If you want to replace your charge method, complete the following steps:

  1. Go to Seller Central and sign in with your Amazon Payments merchant account.
  2. Click the Settings icon, and then click Account info.
  3. Click Charge method, and then click Replace charge method.
  4. Open the corresponding tab for tab for the charge method that you want to replace.
  5. Replace your charge method, and then click Set charge method.
